I’ve been interested in the arts – literature, theatre, music, painting, sculpture, pottery and so on for most of my life and even circus acts seem to me to be extra special when I visit Auckland.  Like life, an artist needs food, drink, warmth and  a physical and spiritual place to develop their art. It may take a long time. No need for the cold attic, poverty, TB and an early death in NZ.
